Looking for a group activity with friends, family, home schooled students – or a team-building event with your workmates? You NEED to try a “Clay Date”! Schedule your TWO hour Hand Building session with private instruction today. The cost is $60 per person. Includes making and glazing. Must have 6 people for regular business hours and 8 people AFTER 4PM. Fun for all ages! Projects include but are not limited to slump mold platters or bowls, pinch pot animals, wall hanging pockets, coffee mugs, seasonal themed ornaments, shakers, or knick-knacks– OR present us with an idea for your own hand-built creation. We are well stocked with all the tools you'll need to make your clay dream a clay reality. One hour to make, one hour to glaze/paint. For a Wheel Throwing Clay Date you must have 6 people and the cost is $60 hour per person – maximum number for this type of clay date is 8 people. One hour to make, one hour to glaze/paint. What to bring/wear: -Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty (clay is messy!) -Apron/towel -Hair tied back for safety -No expectations and a good attitude ready for fun!
Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 6 people during normal business hours, or 8 people minimum during non business hours is required for a Clay Date. A $50 non-refundable deposit will secure your spot, and be applied to your total at checkout. Please provide one person from the group for us to contact when the pieces are ready FOR pick-up. FEES Prices listed include a 3% convenience fee on the order total and applicable sales tax on clay and supplies. *Prices, rates and fees are subject to change COLLECTING YOUR WORK Please allow 2-4 weeks for your pieces to be finished. Please call ahead of time to make sure your work is ready. Pieces left for more than 30 days will become property of Sarasota Clay Company. LIABILITY Sarasota Clay Company and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO Sarasota Clay Company reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings during classes, which may include students and their work. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes in any media, in perpetuity, without compensation to students. FINISHED WORK Every effort is made to support students in producing well-made pieces.
