Service Description
Date Night Pottery Class: Wheel Throwing Tired of the same old Friday night routine? Switch things up with a creative Friday Date Night at the pottery studio! Whether you're coming with a partner, a friend, or meeting new people, this class is a fun and relaxed way to spend your evening. No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and get ready to have some fun with clay. This class includes ONE visit to the studio. Visit 1: Throwing on the Pottery Wheel During this 90-minute class (6:00–7:30pm), our instructors will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating your own ceramic piece. Demonstrations and individual instruction will help you learn the techniques needed to complete the project. You will have the opportunity to make TWO wheel thrown pieces. At the end of the class, you will choose from five glaze colors, and our staff will professionally glaze your piece for you. Your work will then be kiln fired by our staff. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about two weeks after your class. Once fired, properly glazed pottery is food-safe and made to be used and enjoyed for years to come. By appointment only. Online registration with payment is required to secure your spot. You have 30 days from your Date Night to come pick up your pieces. (To Schedule, click "Book Now" then click "Check Next Available" ) What to bring: -Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty (wheel is fun and messy- you will get clay on you!) -Light snacks and beverages* -Long hair pulled back for safety -No expectations! Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS Students must cancel at least 48 hours before their scheduled appointment or class to avoid a cancellation fee of 100% for the service cost. If you have an emergency and cannot make it to class, please give us a call at (941) 359-2773. In the rare event the studio has to close unexpectedly, make-up dates will be provided. There is a minimum of 4 people for a Date Night Class to run. In the event a Date Night Class does not reach the minimum 24 hours prior to the class, clients will be fully refunded or contacted to reschedule for another date. FEES Prices listed include a 3% convenience fee on the order total and applicable sales tax on clay and supplies. *Prices, rates and fees are subject to change COLLECTING YOUR WORK Your finished pieces will be ready to pick up 2 weeks from your appointment date. Please call ahead of time to make sure your work is ready. Pieces left for more than 30 days will become property of Sarasota Clay Company. LIABILITY Sarasota Clay Company and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO Sarasota Clay Company reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings during classes, which may include students and their work. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes in any media, in perpetuity, without compensation to students. FINISHED WORK Every effort is made to support students in producing well-made pieces.
