Evening Handbuilding: Wind Chimes Three Wednesday Evenings | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Create a beautiful handmade ceramic wind chime while learning the fundamentals of handbuilding in this fun, beginner-friendly three-part pottery class! Whether you're new to clay or looking for a relaxing creative outlet, our instructors will guide you through each step of the process as you design, build, glaze, and assemble your very own one-of-a-kind wind chime. Customize your project with textures, stamps, and decorative details to make it uniquely yours. No pottery experience is necessary—just bring your creativity, and we'll provide everything you need! This Class Includes Three Visits: **Visit 1: Making Your Wind Chime** Learn handbuilding techniques as our instructors demonstrate the construction process step-by-step. You'll design and create your ceramic wind chime while receiving individual guidance throughout the class. Your piece will then be professionally bisque fired and prepared for glazing. **Visit 2: Glazing Your Wind Chime** Return the following Wednesday to glaze your handmade wind chime using our selection of studio glazes. Choose your favorite colors and watch your creation come to life before it goes through its final kiln firing. **Visit 3: Assembly Day** After your glazed pieces have been fired, return to the studio for the final step! We'll show you how to assemble your wind chime using the ceramic pieces you created, transforming them into a beautiful finished work of art that's ready to hang and enjoy. Perfect For: ~ Beginners and experienced makers alike ~ Anyone looking for a creative evening out ~ Handmade home and garden décor lovers ~ Creating a unique gift or keepsake **All materials, instruction, glazing, and kiln firings are included.** By appointment only. Online registration with payment is required to secure your spot. Pieces will be held for 30 days, after 30 days they will become property of Sarasota Clay Company. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled start time, and late arrivals may miss important demonstrations. (To Schedule, click "Book Now" then click "Check Next Available" ) What to bring: -Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty (clay is fun and messy- you will get clay on you!) -Light snacks and beverages* -Long hair pulled back for safety -No expectations! Just be ready for a fun time! *Please participate responsibly.

Cancellation Policy

Class tuition includes 2 visits: 1 to make and 1 to glaze. Glazing is a ONE HOUR session, which is included in over all price. Glazing takes place on Saturdays from 10am-1pm. If this time slot does not work for you, give us a call to schedule a time that works. Pieces must be picked up or glazed within 30 days of original make date, and will be donated or repurposed if not picked up within the 30 day time frame. Your finished glazed piece will be ready to pick up a week from the date you glazed. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled start time, and late arrivals may miss important demonstrations. CANCELLATIONS Students must cancel at least 48 hours before their scheduled appointment or class to avoid a cancellation fee of 100% for the service cost. If you have an emergency and cannot make it to class, please give us a call at (941) 359-2773. In the rare event the studio has to close unexpectedly, make-up dates will be provided. FEES Prices listed include a 3% convenience fee on the order total and applicable sales tax on clay and supplies. *Prices, rates and fees are subject to change COLLECTING YOUR WORK Pieces must be picked up or glazed within 30 days of original make date. Once your pieces have been glazed; you can come pick them up! Your finished glazed piece will be ready to pick up a week from the date you glazed. Please call ahead of time to make sure your work is ready. Your pieces must be picked up within 30 days or they will become Sarasota Clay Company property. LIABILITY Sarasota Clay Company and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO Sarasota Clay Company reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings during classes, which may include students and their work. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes in any media, in perpetuity, without compensation to students. FINISHED WORK Every effort is made to support students in producing well-made pieces. Due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics, Sarasota Clay Company and its team cannot be held liable for outcomes like cracking, breakage, kiln mishaps, or results that differ from your expectations. *Prices listed include a 3% convenience fee on the order total and applicable sales tax on clay and supplies. **Prices, rates and fees are subject to change.
