Private Pottery Lessons Take your pottery skills to the next level with personalized, one-on-one instruction designed around your individual goals. Whether you're refining your wheel throwing technique, developing handbuilding skills, troubleshooting specific challenges, or exploring advanced ceramic processes, our private lessons provide focused instruction tailored exclusively to you. Unlike a traditional group class, private lessons allow you to work at your own pace while receiving individualized feedback, demonstrations, and coaching from an experienced instructor. This is the ideal setting for potters looking to accelerate their progress, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of ceramics. Private lessons are also available for couples or small groups who prefer a more personalized learning experience. **Available by appointment based on our studio schedule.** Handbuilding and Wheel Throwing Private Lessons Available. What to bring/wear: -Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty (clay is messy!) -Apron/towel -Hair tied back for safety -No expectations and a good attitude ready for fun!




















Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 6 people for Wheel Throwing, or 8 for Handbuilding is required for a Clay Date. For Clay Dates and Private Lessons, a 50% non-refundable deposit will secure your spot, and will be applied to your total. Balance must be PAID IN FULL one-week before scheduled Clay Date/Private Lesson. Please provide one person from the group for us to contact when the pieces are ready FOR pick-up. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early. Classes begin promptly at the scheduled start time, and late arrivals may miss important demonstrations. FEES Prices listed include a 3% convenience fee on the order total and applicable sales tax on clay and supplies. *Prices, rates and fees are subject to change COLLECTING YOUR WORK Please allow 2-4 weeks for your pieces to be finished. Please call ahead of time to make sure your work is ready. Pieces left for more than 30 days will become property of Sarasota Clay Company. LIABILITY Sarasota Clay Company and its employees are not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO Sarasota Clay Company reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings during classes, which may include students and their work. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes in any media, in perpetuity, without compensation to students. FINISHED WORK Every effort is made to support students in producing well-made pieces.
